All Things Siwon

Hello! I am really new to this blogging thing so please accept my apologies in advance if this is not very articulate! :) I’ve been thinking about the below for a while now, but could not find the time to sit and organize my scattered thoughts. I wanted to give proper attention to what I am writing because it concerns a person close to my heart.

When I first started twitter, I did not even think that one day I would have the kind of interaction that I have right now with Siwon (and Super Junior) fans. I love getting to know you and it makes me so happy to see how much he is loved all over the world.

I have received many questions from you, of course the most common one asking about our relationship. I have responded several times on twitter, however, I realize that this question is going to come up more often than not, so I wanted to answer it here on a more broad platform.  I have known Siwon for many years and I consider him family. He is my little brother, always adorable, sometimes irritating (I know this is hard for many to imagine) but able to make any situation right with his sweet smile and laugh. We have not, nor will we ever be anything else but that. The idea that we could be involved in another way is flattering (because he is undeniably so cute) but also very false. To make you feel even better, I am also a lot older than him (although I hope I don’t look it)!!!!

When I first thought of the event for Siwon’s birthday, I had the idea that I would tweet a picture a day from April 1 to April 7. I know how much fans like seeing candid, personal pictures of him, and thought it would be a nice way to share some of my favorites.  While most of the response has been positive, there has been some negative feedback. I can understand why some fans may not like the idea of a girl being close to a star they like so much (I still don’t like to see any girls associated with my first K-pop love Kang Ta so I understand)!

While I don’t mind negative comments being directed at me, the one thing I will not stand for is to see negative comments directed at Siwon because of anything I may have said or done. Siwon is one of the most precious people in the world to me and those of you who care about him can probably see why. I do not like to see people say mean or hurtful things to him. That, in a nutshell, is why I stopped sharing pictures of him. 

For those of you who are Siwon’s fans, I hope you know how much he loves and appreciates you. I hope you know that he has been able to accomplish such wonderful things because of the overwhelming love and support he receives from you.

I also hope you understand that while Siwon is a public figure, he is also a young man in his 20’s. Because he is a singer and an actor, I sometimes believe that he is able to feel a deeper depth of emotion. While I know and understand the discontentment and anger some may feel towards the people in his life, past, present or future, hurtful, mean or derisive comments may or may not hurt the people to whom they are directed but they will certainly affect him. I hope you will keep that in mind.

Siwon is a genuinely sweet and sincere person and we are blessed to have him as a part of our lives. He, along with the many talented individuals in the entertainment industry, gives his life to enrich ours through the arts. I hope that we can show our appreciation by giving him the love, support and respect he deserves.
